CORRIE JOHNSTONE
Endurance Coach & Athlete
I grew up in Canada and spent most of my early years as a soccer player, before earning an honours degree in Criminal Justice in 2010. After University, I moved to Australia and pursued triathlon, cycling and more recently ultra running.
I have been a qualified coach since 2013, coached over 120+ athletes, have competed as a triathlete across various distances up to the half-ironman, completed 2 ultramarathons (Kosci50 and OCC 50K) and have raced competitively in A grade as a cyclist over a number of years. My full-time job is coaching athletes so you can be assured that your performance and weekly program is a priority.
I am passionate about coaching and educating myself on the latest in sport science, exercise physiology and strength training methods. I do not believe there is a perfect 'one size fits all' training program but see each athlete as an individual with a unique training history, fitness ability, and lifestyle. I do my best to create a training environment where an athlete can improve within the constraints of their day to day life, incorporating evidence-based methods to improve their performance using the time they have available. I also aim to educate athletes on mental toughness, gear and equipment selection, pacing, nutritional and racing strategies to ensure the best performance outcomes.
